The Thrifty Couture Collection was inspired by classic couture designers like Chanel, Cassini and Yves Saint Laurent, who said “Fashions fade, style is eternal.” Mayer created Haberdash, Sophisticate and Vogue to emulate high end suiting materials at value oriented price points, thus the name “Thrifty Couture.”
The overall collection features a comprehensive color story in an extensive array of earthy neutrals and rich jewel tones.
Haberdash is a refined polyester construction that features a linen menswear look. Colors are blended in subtle combinations that create sophisticated neutrals and slightly muted jewel tones.
Sophisticate features heavily textured polyester that has the look of raw silk. Colors feature mingled combinations of rich neutrals with hues of aloe, indigo, teal, jade and persimmon. Sophisticate offers a non-Crypton version of Primo and Domain.
Vogue is a handsome fabric that features the use of boucle in its dense yet refined construction. A yarn slubbing effect gives Vogue a dimensional quality and the appearance of a wool silk blend. Colors feature harmonious combinations like Ecru as well as contrasting combinations such as Mango. Vogue is also available with Crypton as “Debonair” in the same great color palette.
