Mayer is pleased to introduce the Quantum Collection, featuring Gravity, Relativity, Static, Matter, Molecule and Vector. Patterns Gravity, Relativity and Static are innovative performance constructions called “fused hybrids” in which a woven textile is chemically bonded with durable TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) using a new technology called Tekloom.Patterns Matter, Molecule and Vector are polycarbonate-based, polyurethane-coated fabrics with distinctive emboss and print features. An ultrasonic embossed technique (Molecule) and the use of a layered polyurethane (Vector) make these fabrics technically and aesthetically unique. All fabrics from the Quantum Collection are Graffiti-free, bleach cleanable, and impermeable to liquids. Additionally, they contain no DMF, phthalates, FR/Antimicrobial additives, or perfluorinated chemicals. Quantum is certified to REACH and California 01350 VOC standards. The Quantum Collection is ideal for high traffic areas in all markets with a focus on hospitality and healthcare.

Gravity – features a natural linen look in an elegant and refined piece-dyed quality. Colors inspired by nature are subtly blended because of the TPE fusing process. The palette is versatile, ranging from reflective metallic hues to soft colors of the ocean. Gravity’s classic design and heavy-duty performance characteristics make it perfect for upholstery applications in all commercial settings.

Relativity – features a TPE fused texture with multi-colored striation. This Tekloom pattern is an exclusive Mayer design in a classic construction. A versatile color palette beautifully blends iridescent mineral colors with plant-inspired hues. Like Gravity, Relativity is an elegant, extreme performance textile that offers a multitude of opportunities for use in all markets.

Static – features another distinctive Mayer Tekloom design that uses a reflective yarn to create a new and innovative twist on a classic construction. Texture is created using a deflective weave and a layer of accents resulting in a high-tech look. Beautiful yet heavy-duty, Static is suitable for all commercial environments. Colors mimic ambiguous neutrals and burnished metals from nature’s vast palette.

Matter – features a versatile polyurethane textured look that can stand on its own or work as a complement to patterns Molecule and Vector. An extensive range of colors featuring cool and smoky neutrals as well as jewel tones works nicely with Mayer’s entire range of coated fabrics. Matter is a versatile fabric that is perfect for upholstered applications in all commercial markets.

Molecule – features a geometric hexagon “beehive” motif rendered in a dimensional, quilted construction with a matte finish. Colors are inspired by nature’s kaleidoscope from iridescent shell to deep indigo. Perfect for hospitality, healthcare, and other commercial environments, Molecule is a great small-to-medium scale design suitable for a wide range of upholstered furniture styles.

Vector – features a Quantum inspired pattern from nature that emulates the structure of a spider’s web. The seemingly random design is printed on a subtle grid. Two layers of polyurethane make this dimensional color effect possible. The result is a dimensional pattern and color story in shades of polished stone, copper, and burnished bark. Vector offers performance value in a new modern classic design aesthetic for all markets.

The Quantum Collection received the Nightingale Innovation Award in the Fabrics & Textiles category at the 2019 Healthcare Design Expo + Conference.

In June 2020, the Quantum Collection was one of the 35 innovative products selected by Metropolis Magazine for their biannual #MetropolisLikes product awards.

The Quantum Collection was recognized during the 7th annual Interior Design Magazine HiP Awards in the Health + Wellness: Fabric + Textiles category. A conscious solution for healthcare environments and beyond, the Quantum Collection and other high-performance fabrics were presented during the first-ever virtual HiP Awards presented by Cindy Allen, Editor in Chief of Interior Design in June 2020.
